Day Of the Dead

Happy October Y’all! I wish I could say Happy fall, however here in Arizona we still have temperatures in the 100’s.

Today I bring to you my design team card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog. I used this fabulous Day of the Dead digital image by Maria Medel. You may purchase this digital image on Esty.com by searching MMeled Illustrations or by clicking here.

To start this card base I used a piece of Canson mixed media paper and blended Spiced Marmalade distressed all over it. Next I layered a stencil from Sassy & Crafty on top and blended Black Soot on top of the spiced marmalade. Next I cut this down to 4”x5.25” and rounding the corners. Finally I adhered it to a black card base.

After printing and coloring the Day of the Dead image with Copic makers I cut it out with my older creative memories oval cutter to keep with the oval flow of the image.

To add some dimension to my card I added this fun ruffled crepe paper my friend Amy made. You can find her products by clicking on the product link below. I also added so black & gray braided jut.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my page today!
