What a perfect Digital stamp set to kick off the summer.
Today I bring to you this months Corrosive Design Team card that is perfect for Father’s Day, a masculine birthday card, or just to send a simple thinking of you card. This set is illustrated by Pink Diamond Design and can be found by clicking here.
To create my card front I put two of the digital images together in a layering effect using computer programing. I then sized them down to be able to fit an A2 card front. I created my own sentiment and then cut it a part to place them in separate areas on the card front. Knowing I would be creating this card while traveling and would have limited supplies, I packed a 12×12 texted paper pack to take with me and my Copic markers, plus some glittery gel pens, a paper cutter, and some Tombow glue.
Once we got to our destination, I was able to sit by the lake in our camper and color up this image. I cut down my paper with the image to 4.75”x3.25” and then scrolled through the paper pack I brought until I found a couple of sheets that would match my colored image. Creating a few layering pieces, I then traced around the outer edges of each piece with a Copic marker that was close in color to the paper color. This allows the card to have both a finished edge look and some depth. Next it was time to glue the layers together. To add a finishing touch I used a silver glitter gel pen to trace the fishing line.
Not being in my home craft room to take pictures of my card allowed me to get creative and use a natural setting. Before I could use the natural setting, I had to wait for the rain to stop and a nice place to dry. The next day was perfect to catch a couple photos before it rained.
Thanks for stopping by for this month’s Corrosive Design team card.
