Happy New Year to All!
Thank you for stopping by today to see how I created January’s design team card for The Corrosive Blog Challenge. Using “I Believe in Unicorns” digital image illustrated by Cute As A Button stamp and designs, I created a modified slimline card. To purchase this cute imaged you may click on the image title or link below. The finish size of this card is 4”x8.5”
Once I downloaded my digital imaged, I sized it to be proportionately for my slimline card. This image measures about 6” tall 2.75” wide.
Using brand new Karin water color marker I colored my image. I’ll admit I have some practicing to do, however I love how this image turned out. Her outfit looks as if it’s textured.
After I had my image colored, I created my layered pieces. The pinkish back ground I embossed using a Darice embossing folder, then I hit the top with a VersaFine ink (Glamorous). This layer measures 3.75”x8.25”. Next, I use a piece of multi colored stripped paper and created a 3”x7.5” layer. The last two layers are for the sentiment. The purple layer is 2”x3” and the white layer with the sentiment is 1.75”x 2.75”. After, all my layers were crated I assemble the card. And brushed the image with some wink a stella to give she some sparkle.
